Building this workforce allows us to support and represent the values of cultures worldwide as well as create an environment, which is open to all employees. WWT's management team is committed to this goal and the further development of our diversity programs.

Our internal objective is to establish a positive framework, which will acknowledge and incorporate changes and differences in order to tap individual potential while contributing to personal and professional success. We will use these tools to maximize productivity and improve our ability to promote diversity throughout our work environment as well as develop policies, which promote cultural/ethnic diversity hiring. We will continue to monitor workforce demographics to ensure equitable representation throughout the organization.

World Wide Technology's commitment also extends to our customer base. We will establish and support relationships with women, minority, and disadvantaged organizations. We believe business enterprise benefits directly from a broader selection of competitive companies. We hope to grow these MWDVBE relationships and help create additional opportunities for them. Our Supplier Diversity Plan (SDP) is our corporate commitment to help train, refer and integrate qualified and certified suppliers into the provisioning of products and services to our customers. We will utilize a "three tiered" approach in developing relationships that will allow suppliers participating in our SDP to engage in business opportunities in several ways:

  • Direct referrals to our customer-base for non-competitive service/product offerings.
  • Mentoring relationships, which will help strengthen and enable MWDV/BE companies.
  • Collaborative business ventures with World Wide Technology.

This three tiered approach will give us an added dimension for our continuing commitment to the development of other minority vendors.

A critical component to the strength of a community is the commitment its resident businesses show towards that community. This belief is the foundation of our proactive involvement in our community. We will support minority efforts by participating in or sponsoring minority events, attending local and national minority recruitment fairs and recognizing that differences do exist throughout our community. World Wide Technology will embrace these differences and encourage this participation in diversity sponsored events.
