NASA Awards World Wide Technology a SEWP Contract

Seven Year Government-Wide Acquisition Contract Valued at $5.6 Billion

ST. LOUIS (April 25, 2007) – World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, has been awarded a Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) contract by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) contracting office. A follow-on to SEWP III, SEWP calls for WWT to deliver products and services that assist NASA and all federal agencies in meeting their mission objectives through technology. Specific solutions include but are not limited to wireless technology, network security, collaboration, storage, unified communications, and open source products and technologies.

SEWP Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC) are available for ordering by all NASA centers, all federal agencies and their authorized contractors. The principle purpose of SEWP contracts are to provide government customers with state-of-the-art computer technologies, high-end scientific and engineering processing capabilities, network equipment, and Unix, Linux and Windows-based technologies and peripherals. SEWP lasts for a period of seven years and consists of 45 firm, fixed price (FFP), indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts each valued at approximately $5.6 billion.

“The SEWP contract is a significant strategic win for World Wide Technology,” said Bill McKeon, vice president of federal sales for WWT. “When you combine our successful track record of meeting the unique needs of the government with purchasing vehicles like ITES-2H, NIH-ECS III, GSA FEO Supply Schedule and SEWP, you see a company in World Wide Technology that has firmly established itself as a leading provider of advanced technology solutions and support to the federal market.”
