Corporate Social Responsibility
We stand in solidarity with anybody exercising their freedom of speech via nonviolent protests and action. Racism has no place in our world, and it must be stopped! Moving forward, our priority is to continuously improve our culture of inclusion and equality by enhancing employee safety and well-being, listening to our teammates, fostering equality and creating a great place to work for all.

Serving the Community, Our Business and Employees
Our commitment to give back to the communities we serve is critical to empowering our people, who in turn empower our business.
Our Global Community Impact program is designed to strengthen the community by supporting organizations that provide education and career preparation for our youth; health and human services to address society’s greatest needs; and arts and cultural opportunities to enhance the lives of many.
Most of our outreach efforts and strategic partnerships center around our passion to develop a diverse pipeline of future leaders using Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) as the platform. We are committed to building and nurturing the future of the STEM workforce by investing in STEM-focused education, internships, work-based learning opportunities and activities. Our objective is to build, retain and grow individuals capable of leading in the future.
Our Commitment to Recruiting, Retaining and Developing a Diverse Workforce
Executive leadership focused on increasing diverse candidates and hires in all areas of the business.
Full-time, dedicated recruitment manager to our diversity recruiting programs and efforts.
Emphasis on recruiting from diverse sources, such as historically Black colleges and universities.
Continued investment in and development of our diverse team members through training and coaching.
Diversity and Inclusion Program focused on education and awareness to create and maintain an inclusive culture.
Creating Opportunities for Others
Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) is an international organization centered on cultivating youth empowerment through the foundation of education and holistic support. BHGH affiliates help academically capable children in need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered opportunities and education.
We are committed to BHGH through board leadership, technology support and the Steward Scholars program. In 2019, BHGH Steward Scholars were provided with scholarships to their respective universities and sponsorships to attend learning conferences such as the BEYA, Women of Color in STEM and the annual Black Data Processing Association conference.
Mentoring Future Leaders
As the only STEM-focused, all-female public school in Missouri, Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls engages their scholars in STEM courses that are taught from an interdisciplinary approach. Many assignments are completed within project teams in an effort to replicate real-world work environments.
Annually, more than 50 WWT women leaders volunteer at Hawthorn Leadership School, serving as mentors, helping students explore careers, assisting on school projects and doing community service. The mentors serve as academic and personal accountability partners for the students and, ultimately, serve as professional resources.
Real-World Experiences to Launch Careers
It is important to us to create pathways to economic prosperity by launching careers for military veterans and young adults from under-resourced communities.
Our partnership with NPower provides these groups with training, professional development, internships and job placement assistance. Our employees volunteer as board members, guest lecturers and mock interviewers. In many instances, we’ve hired NPower participants.
In 2019, we hosted NPower’s 40 by 22 Convening Session to advance women of color in technical careers, address gender and racial bias in the workplace and foster a more diverse and inclusive workforce. WWT’s Convening Session focused on propelling career growth and wage equity.
Fostering a Future-Ready World
Our partnership with NAF works towards the goal of using work-based learning as a catalyst to create a Future-Ready world.
We hosted a Future Ready Lab, a paid summer internship for high school students focused on developing their interpersonal and professional skills. Throughout the program, interns interact with multiple lines of business, tour corporate and university partner facilities, complete work-study courses, participate in panels highlighting opportunities for technical education and careers, and volunteer in community outreach activities.
Through recruitment, workforce inclusion and education we provide our employees with the resources needed for success. Employees are not only encouraged to better themselves in the workplace, but to give back as well. Every WWT employee is offered the opportunity to get involved in their community through our Day of Caring initiative. We encourage all teams to participate in community outreach programs by sponsoring team building activities with an emphasis on volunteering within our communities. Our goal is to create positive change for the communities we cherish.
In addition to the community programs highlighted above
and the organizations below, WWT proudly
supports hundreds of non-profits around the globe.
Our supplier diversity program is a critical component of our company’s success. WWT has developed this program from the same foundation as the rest of our business – our clearly defined core values, corporate vision and mission. This program has helped improve the sustainability of our organization through developing partnerships with minority-owned, women-owned, disabled veteran-owned and small business enterprises. WWT ensures all of our business partners and suppliers are committed to conducting business with the highest possible standards in regard to ethics, labor, employee health and safety, diversity and the preservation of our environment.
Governance, Ethics and Compliance
Honesty, integrity and trust are key elements of WWT’s core values and culture. WWT executive management invests a tremendous amount of time and effort communicating the understanding of our core values to ensure they remain the foundation of our work. This unified approach is advanced through the individual accountability of governance and compliance as well as a structured leadership program.
Each year, every WWT employee reaffirms their individual accountability for upholding our code of conduct and following all applicable laws, regulations and company policies. Every employee also participates in group leadership meetings that include a comprehensive review of our core values, our corporate vision and our mission.
Preserving the Environment
WWT is committed to sustainability initiatives and addressing the daily impact our business has on the environment. With a focus on energy and waste reduction, water conservation and end-of-life product planning, WWT works to protect our planet while providing business value for our customers.
