The Cisco Network Service Orchestrator (NSO), formerly known as Tail-F, is a powerful service orchestration engine. Service Providers use it to deliver and manage services across their networks. However, many enterprises have adopted NSO for large-scale operations tasks and their own service management needs. This lab environment is used to support WWT's NSO workshop and training content. You can also use it for general NSO learning and experimenting with NSO service models.

This lab demonstrates the use of automation tools to provision a multi-layer transport networking system. Cisco's Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) and Itential's Automation Platform (IAP) are used to turn-up a new transport network consisting of both optical- and packet-based equipment.

Itential Automation Platform (IAP) is an operations toolset and workflow engine from Itential. Large scale IT operations and service providers use IAP in conjunction with tools like NSO and Ansible. This lab focuses on IAP and building workflows on top of NSO (NSO is one of several systems IAP uses for device communications). This lab contains optional NSO review material to help you understand that portion of the solution.
